2. Description of Service

PerfectResume is an AI-powered resume optimization service that helps job seekers tailor their resumes to specific job descriptions. The Service processes user-submitted resumes and job descriptions to generate optimized resume content.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Credits System

PerfectResume operates on a credit-based system:

  • Free Credits: New users receive 20 free credits upon signup.
  • Credit Usage: Exports (PDF/DOCX) cost 1 credit, AI rewrites cost 3 credits, and resume optimizations cost 5 credits.
  • Credit Expiration: Credits do not expire while your account is active.
  • Future Purchases: Paid credit packages (when available) will have separate terms.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Generate content that is illegal, harmful, or offensive
  • Create resumes containing false or misleading information
  • Attempt to circumvent credit systems or payment mechanisms
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers

6. User Content

Your Data: You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Service, including resumes and job descriptions.

License: By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to process it for the purpose of providing the Service.

Processing: Resume and job description data is processed by AI and is not stored permanently after processing.

7. AI-Generated Content

The optimized resume content generated by our AI is provided for informational purposes. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that AI-generated content will:

  • Perfectly match any specific job requirements
  • Be free of errors or omissions
  • Result in any job interviews or offers

You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated content before use.

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any downtime or data loss.

9. Intellectual Property

Our Content: The Service, including its design, features, and proprietary technology, is owned by PerfectResume and protected by intellectual property laws.

Your Resume Output: The optimized resume content you generate using the Service is yours to use as you wish, subject to applicable laws.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PERFECTRESUME SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PerfectResume and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, without prior notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Accounts with zero credits for an extended period may be deleted.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
